How it works

Before you leave

We like to meet you and your cat at your home prior to you going away. This ensures that we know where to find everything and you can give us an overview of the needs of your cat. We have also found that it puts your mind at rest to know who will be looking after your pet. We offer this initial visit for free, please contact us to arrange. We are happy to give your cat pills if they are on medication, this is at no extra cost.

Leave enough food and litter for your cat; we will provide Hills Science Plan food and Catsan litter if either run out, which we will bill to you at the sale price. If your cat is on a specific diet please let us know, we will happily weigh out food if required!

Ensure there are enough bowls and washing up facilities. We will clear out, top up and change litter trays, so a litter scoop would be helpful. We will dispose of all rubbish and old litter.

Please let us know about any alarms or visitors that you are expecting.

Make sure you tell us when you will be returning and leave us contact details. We'd appreciate your cats vet's details as well, in case a problem arises while you are away.


While you are away

We will visit your cat the agreed number of times. During these visits we will wash their bowls and refill them with clean water and food. We will clear their litter tray and refresh the litter if necessary.

Finally, we will give your cat a cuddle and play!

If there are any problems we will contact you to discuss your wishes. If we can't get in contact or we feel the problem is urgent we will seek veterinary assistance without consent, which will be billed to you.

When you arrive home, please let us know by telephone or text message. If we don't hear from you, we will continue to visit, as we will assume you have been delayed. We would hate your cat to go hungry. These visits will be billed to you.

Whilst every effort will be made to give your cat the highest level of care and attention, sometimes problems do arise and we cannot be held liable for these.

When you return

Once we have received your phone call or email to confirm you have arrived home, we can arrange to return your keys to you. These can be collected from us in Fulham, or delivered to your door for a £5 charge.

If you would like us to keep a set of keys for future visits, we can do this at no extra cost.

Payment for the service is by cheque or cash on the first visit (please make cheques payable to Mrs A Geddes)


We will invoice you for any extra charges when you return.
